Your fitness is your own business: All your workouts, body weight metrics, meal plans, streaks, and personal progress records reside exclusively in encrypted local storage on your device. We do NOT operate remote user profile databases and we do NOT sell your personal health information. An active internet connection is required to run the app, stream exercise demonstration videos, and load non-intrusive advertisements in compliance with Google AdMob and GDPR / UMP consent choices.
1. Architecture & On-Device Storage Model
The Grand Athlete is built on a private on-device storage architecture. Unlike conventional fitness applications:
- No Mandatory Account: You do not need to provide an email address, create a password, or link third-party social media accounts to use the application.
- Local Database / Key-Value Store: Your athletic profiles, workout sets, reps, weights, calorie and water logs, streak records, and achievements are stored directly in your smartphone's internal sandboxed application storage.
- Zero Remote Cloud Sync of Biometrics: We do not transmit your body measurements, workout history, or nutrition logs to proprietary external backend servers.
2. Network Connection Requirement
An active internet connection is required to run The Grand Athlete application. Network connectivity is utilized strictly for the following functions:
- Exercise Video Demonstrations: Streaming high-definition exercise technique guides and movement tutorials embedded via the official YouTube player in conformity with the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Google AdMob Monetization: Serving banner, app-open, and optional rewarded advertisements delivered by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
- App Updates & Version Checks: Verifying Google Play Store version status for critical security and compatibility patches.

5. Health Connect & On-Device Sensors
If you choose to enable Health Connect synchronization:

- Zero Health Connect or sensor measurements are ever transferred to advertising networks, data brokers, or external analytics partners.
- You may revoke Health Connect permissions at any time through your Android system settings.
6. Data Retention, Portability & Deletion Rights
Because your fitness data is stored on-device, you have absolute ownership and control over your records:
- Export Your History: You can export your complete workout logs, body metrics, meal plans, and streak history at any time as a portable JSON document via Settings → Data Management & Backup → Export Backup.
- Selective Cleanup: You can selectively delete specific categories of data (e.g. video watch cache, hydration history) without losing your workout templates.
- Permanent Deletion / Clean Slate: You can irrevocably wipe all local data and reset the application at any time using the "Clean Slate / Reset All" button in Settings, or by clearing app storage in Android settings / uninstalling the app.
7. Children's Privacy
The Grand Athlete is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly target or collect personal data from children under the age of 13.

The workouts, recovery routines, nutrition guidelines, BMR/TDEE calculations, and readiness scores generated in this application are for general educational, wellness, and fitness purposes only. They do NOT constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
